Did you know? The Australian Open champion has gone on to win Indian Wells 57% of the time in the last 14 years.

Did you know? Indian Wells is one of two Masters 1000 tournaments (as well as Miami) to feature 96 players in the main draw. This results in seeded players needing to win 6 rounds in order to win the championship and unseeded players needing to win 7 rounds. In turn this may partly explain why the tournament has produced less "surprise" champions, as 93% of the champions since 1990 had at least reached a Grand Slam final at the time of winning Indian Wells. In comparison this number is 71% at the Paris Masters, which has a draw of 48 players.
